Crop tops is one of my favourite fashion trend and its so fun to style them, and you are gonna see whole lot of them on my blog. Although for this look , I kept it very simple .

Crop top with high waisted denim and ankle length make this attire comfy and stylish, it so apt. for day out with your girlies or shopping spree.

This lose fitting crop top is so easy-breezy and its has patchwork detailing on the right side which makes it even more fun. It has burger , a cute unicorn and one which says ‘let good times roll’.

I paired it up with high waisted denims with knee rip  from vero moda. To complete this look , I decided to go with ankle length black boots to give a little edge vibe and also giving chic look at the same time.

While Scrolling through different clothing websites I noticed and patchwork is becoming major fashion trend and its not going anywhere anytime soon . So lets make the most of it and I love to know that how would you style the crop top with patchwork.

Packaging : It comes Transparent glass bottle with a pump. One pump dispense enough product to apply on your entire face. Its  neat , its functional its travel friendly. It’s a perfect go to product for me.

Consistency of the product: its little thick and dense. It blends in really well. But also as it sets itself , you don’t have enough time to work it , so if you do put on little too much of product in one particular area , and there is no way that you will be able to correct it .Keeping that in mind start off with little product and work in sections.

Finish : Its give a matte finish and also hydrates the dry patches on your skin , but I would still recommend to apply moisturizer and primer before foundation. It gives perfect natural finish and photographs well too.

Coverage : it gives a medum coverage , but if you work in sections and build up the product by using buffing brush , it gives full coverage. If your trouble spots taken care of, it doesn’t even need to be built up for coverage , and evens out your skin and giving you the cleanest canvas to work with.

Overall its an amazing product. Matte finish, long stay , good coverage , all in one. As I said earlier it’s a gem among other drugstore foundations.

Illuminators

It’s a new trend in cosmetics, this product helps emphasis your facial features. It’s like spotlight for best facial features. Illuminator are designed to refract the light, to give the skin the glowing look. So when its applied to your skin it will diffuse and soften problem spots and highlight areas that light falls on. This can help you diffuse your dark circles and also make your cheekbones pop.

Remember, that this is not a substitute for your foundation or concealer. Definitely don’t apply an illuminator to your whole face as you might just look like a light bulb! It is really a complimentary product, like a blush or contouring cream.

Illuminators come in liquid, cream and powder formulation. For Dry skin, Use liquid and cream versions. For oily skin, settle for powder versions.

If you acquire high shine due to really oily skin, try applying a mattifier or setting spray beforehand and then dusting the illuminator on top. This would help reduce the shine, especially at the area of concern. They also come in a wide range of colours from pearlescent colours for fairer skins to warm golden colours for olive and dark skin tones.

It is better to avoid too much sparkle or shine as it accentuates wrinkles and imperfections. Illuminators only have a hint of a pearlized pigment, which makes them a key product for makeup.

illuminators actually, can be applied with or without make up, or even the bare minimum make up. They help create a wonderful glow.

Application:

powder illuminator:  It is applied by using a soft blush brush. Swirl the brush to pick up the illuminator, shake off the excess and apply in a circular motion till you get perfect shine you want.

cream or liquid illuminators: To apply it, take a small amount and dab along the area you want to emphasise. Use your fingers, sponge or beauty blender to blend accordingly.

Apply illuminator to the top of the cheekbone, the centre of your nose and middle of your forehead and chin.

To make your lips appear bigger apply a small amount to your cupids bow. Or for your eyes to look bigger try placing a small amount in the corner of your eye and on the brow bone. This is especially helpful when you are going with nude lips or minimal eyes.

Bronzer

Whether in hot summer or in a dead winter, or any time when we want a healthy glow on our cheeks, bronzers are perfect to the use. But the impact of bronzer being good or not on you depends upon choosing the right bronzer according to particular skin tone and also on application of the bronzer.

choosing Bronzer:

While choosing a bronzer, it’s important to get color right so you get a natural glow. Choose a shade darker than your skin tone but never use a shade that’s more than two shades deeper than skin tone or it will look artificial.

Powders are the easiest to apply and provide the most natural finish. Shimmer bronzers promise to give you glowing skin, but too much sparkle can make your complexion look greasy.

A little bit of shimmer can add a healthy glow and highlight your facial structure, but too much can emphasize uneven skin texture. To avoid this, choose a product with fine shimmer particles and apply sparingly.

A shimmer bronzer is a great choice for illuminating the skin and giving a sun-kissed glow, but not ideal for contour and shadow.

Not always a bronzer:

fair skin tones:  Swap your bronzer for a warm nude blush—something with a hint of peach or rose works best. Those warmer undertones give the skin a gorgeous kissed-by-the-sun flush that never looks muddy or artificial.

medium and dark tones:  A brick-toned blush over the T-zone and cheekbones. The red undertone of the blush gives the natural look that appears just after nice beach day.

And remember, less is more; too much blush can make you look sunburned. Use a large powder brush or fan brush to apply the perfect amount of product.

Use of right brush:

Use the largest, softest brush you have. Avoid a brush that is too dense, dense brush would make color come out stronger, that can look dirty instead of just bronzed look.

For perfect look:

Every person’s face shape is unique and bronzer should be used to shadow in any area that we would like to minimize, while warming up the skin at the same time to match the chest.

use bronzer on neck and under the chin. This gives the appearance as you had a neck lift! It also matches all the color from cheek, neck, and face so don’t get white face photos.

It can also be used on the chin, or along the hairline around the forehead through temples to minimize. Women with smaller foreheads should not use bronzer in that area.

Application:

Apply bronzer in a “3” shape.

Sweep across the forehead, around to the cheekbone and then down the jaw. Don’t forget the nose and ears!

Also, if neck is exposed, be sure to apply bronzer there as well for a natural all over glow

lightly dust bronzer where the sun would hit your skin, Instead of caking on the color. Apply on all these areas carefully: the bridge of your nose, across your hairline and the apples of your cheeks.

Apply a highlighter across your cheekbones and your brow bone that would help avoid muddy skin tone, and also will give face more dimension.

Make up Base

Make up Base

Beginners in make-up have lot of confusion, especially regarding foundation, primer and concealer. In fact, the most common question asked is, the difference between these 3 products.  Although these 3 products sound quite similar yet each one of them satiate a different need.

Introduction-

Before starting off with the difference, let me give the brief introduction about make-up base. It is an art of preparing and perfecting your skin for makeup. It provides an even clean surface, which is free of blemishes, imperfections and wrinkles. It also helps to absorb oil, and controls shine throughout the day, which increases makeup longevity. Primer, Foundation and Concealer are all part of makeup base in their respective order. But experts do not recommend using all these products, because too much makeup can possibly clog the pores. Depending upon your skin condition you may skip some or all of them.

Primer:

Primer is the first makeup step after applying moisture. It acts as a basic of makeup base that enhances longevity by providing better grip of makeup to skin.

There are tinted primers and no-color primers, people can choose either one. Anyhow, if you are applying a foundation on top, then primer shade does not make any difference. In case, you are planning to wear it alone then Its better going for a tinted primer to cover up the imperfections.

You can find separate primers just for eye-shadow makeup, in market. But you can use the same primer for my face and eye-shadow makeup, and it works quite well for many women. For eyes, primer is used to provide long-lasting crease-free look. It also helps brings out the best pigmentation of less pigmented shades.

Foundation:

After primer, foundation is the second makeup step. Foundation is a skin coloured cosmetic. Its main job is to create an even skin tone, to hide flaws and to change the natural skin colour.

Depending upon skin type and complexion you can go for the most suitable foundation. Like, water based or powdery foundations are good for oily skin, cream or oil based foundations are good for dry skin. People with normal skin can go for any foundation.

Also, if your skin is a lot uneven and blemished then you should go for a foundation that provides medium to full coverage. In case your skin is even (or partially even) and devoid of imperfections then you can give go for ‘low to medium’ coverage foundation as well.

Foundation shade should not go beyond 1-2 degrees in contrast (lighter or darker – the way you like primer shade does not make any difference

Concealer:

Ideally, concealer comes in as third makeup base step. But if you are skipping any of the above steps or even both steps then its position shifts up in that chronological order.

There is no point of applying concealer if you’re just going to blend it all away by putting foundation or primer on top. So remember, concealer is the last step of makeup base.

Concealer’s main function is to hide stubborn/deep scars that require last minute touch ups. Unlike foundation, concealer is not applied on entire face but just on the areas that require touch ups. Usually, dab it on under eye area, acne scars and chic
